I noticed that the name didn’t seem to fit, and saw that another shade seems to be silver rainbows, but what is this one?? I looked at the two bottles and they both have the same name….If you know what this is please let me know.
Today’s swatch is Sinful colors’s (XX), a very sparkly green, blue and red bar glitter polish. This took about 2 coats to do but also because I did the sponge on method. (Pic of that will be below) I have been looking for these shades forever now and I finally found them at my Walgreens on an end cap!! Woot!! I have a few more shades left to show you this year!
Sponge on method: put on 2 layers onto the sponge, and then wait a couple seconds for some of the excess clear polish in glitter polish to soak into the sponge, and then press that onto your nail. It gives you more glitter overall and faster! (I would even say it dries faster too.)
Also consider the silver holo glitter a preview 😛
Hello! I said earlier on my blog that I had purchased some glitter to do some frankens and I now have “swatches” of the 12 colors I got. I found a really great site (Glitter Unique) that had samples for a dollar and a ton of selection, which ultimately made it harder to choose which ones I wanted. All other sites I found had samples at $2 and I’m a cheapo! I didn’t want to spend that much! (lol) They give you really good sized samples. A baggie is enough for maybe two polishes depending on how much you use!
I like big chunks of glitter so I purchased mostly all .094 sized glitters. The site has a ton of sizes so if theres any shape/size/color there has to be something on that site for you! I have pictures to share, all the examples of the samples I found were in video form, so here is some pictures for you guys who are interested in frankening! -XOXO Read the rest of this entry »

Hello Girls and fellas! Today I have a review of Starry Starry Night by Pocket Money Polishes, a UK Indie polish brand making 3-Free polishes. I was excited to see this polish and swatch it, not only is this a beautiful glitter polish, but this is also my first indie polish here on Alilacquer!
At first glance in standard home lighting I thought it was a blue nail polish with white stars and gold glitter. BUT under the lighting I use to swatch, this polish turned out to be a clear based polish with blue hex-shaped glitter, white stars and gold glitter. I also thought that the gold glitter was just that but I ended up realizing that it was also holo. The second picture below shows that.
The bottle size is very small in comparison to other polishes I have. Not sure of the size of the bottle but I’d say it is about 1/2 to 1/3 the size of an Essie bottle which is .5fl oz.
WNW+Glitter??? Sign me up! I saw these in an end cap display with new products for the holidays and of course it had to be the one time I didn’t have my camera with me. Anyway I was like heck yeah I can do some eye glitter looks. BUT of course I look on the back of the palette and see that it says “not for use in the eye area.” That makes me sad as this is pretty much only reason I purchased this. The shades look tinted and also feel very greasy!! Anyone pick any of these up?

Heyyyyyyy! Ok I got a lot of polishes and makeup recently. This is pretty much collected throughout a couple days with the exception of the Becca brush, that was sent to me for free. I hope to have these posted throughout the upcoming two weeks. I have more things I’m going to be purchasing and I am going to bust my butt to do reviews and such. I’m going on vacay to SC next week for Thanksgiving and I’d rather not have to do these things during the only time I get to visit my mother. My blog will have no lack of content this month! Take a look at what I have coming up!
L to R- Kleancolor polishes in Mermaid, Metallic Aqua, Fuchsia Glitter, Pure Ice polishes in Viva Las Vegas, Royal Flush, Getting Gorgeous, All Night Long, Sinful Colors polishes in Silver Rainbows and Pine Away. The Silver Rainbows and Pine Away are the only ones I have found from their new collection and I’m so sad about that! I want all their bar glitter polishes!
First Row L to R- A cheapie brand I found at a Beauty Supply. These are amazing!! J polish in Baby Pink, French White, Vivid Purple, Maybelline brocades polishes in Beaming Blue, Black N Mirrors, Emerald Elegance.
Second Row L to R- I know these look pretty much the same but trust me they are different and gorgeous! Kleancolor polish in Golden Nightmare, Moon dance, Mud Pie Sparkle, Metallic Mango, Peaceful Heart and Metallic Purple.
Lastly we have a bunch of stuff, The black box was sent to me from Ifabbo, it is a Becca one perfecting brush. I also found some of the Wet N Wild glitter trios in Drinking A Glass of Shine and Twinkle and Loving it! I also got NYC Big Bold Mascara and NYC dark brown pencil for my brows! The V.I.P palettes are from Kleancolor and they were so bright I had to try them out! Those are in Flawless and Sublime. The big palette I found at Rite Aid the other day and it looks SO CUTE. The little shadows are adorable and the fact that they are named kind of makes me want them a little bit more. I looked at the back to the manufacturer and saw that it is by Markwins which also produces Wet N Wild, so if you’re a WNW eyeshadow fan GRAB THIS. It was only $3 and the shades are just as pigmented as the WNW eyeshadows are. I found the nail art studs at Walgreens and I have been playing with them for a while (note the open one) the other one is for you guys!! I also bought 2 more of the Julie G textured polishes for a giveaway and the Covergirl will be part of that. Once I figure out the packaging I will be hosting a Giveaway with those items and a couple polishes I have duplicates for and that are Limited Edition! Keep an eye out!! Enough rambling!! P.S the Maybellines will be put out later today!!
Hello!!! I’m excited that I get to swatch this collection!! It is one of the most prettiest textured polishes I own. I love this sparkly/shimmery finish more than the flat shades such as the Milani textured ones. ( I have those coming up on my blog soon!!) Anyway take a look because these are absolutely gorgeous!! If you’d like to see the rest of the collection you can scroll down to the end of the post and see the last two!! These are $3.99 at Rite Aid or you can purchase them online with Jesses’s Girl!

Hello Guys!! I have China Glaze’s Holiday collection to share with you all! (Technically 2/3’s of it.) I grabbed the ones I thought I’d like and these are what I ended up with. I purchased this online at Cherry Culture a bit back and now I have the swatches! I also purchased their fall collection which was a bunch of cremes and foils and just colors that didn’t end up being my favorites at all. I have a few out of the entire collection I would use again and to sum it up, I was disappointed. This collection however, I have a totally different opinion on. I enjoyed swatching all the shades!! So click below to check them out!! Read the rest of this entry »
Today I have a shade from Sinful Colors Crystal Crushes collection. This is a light purple with a really pretty pink iridescence and blue shimmer. I’m not sure if didn’t wait long enough in between layers but I felt like this shade didn’t ever want to dry. After waiting about 10 minutes after second coat I could easily get nicks in the polish. I want to work with this after condemning this as horrible but Its not the entire line, I’ve already swatched Blue Persuasion and that shade was great!! So saying that if you’d like to grab some of these you can at Rite Aid for $2.99.
Maybelline came out with the Brocades collection and I will link up the display pic below. The three shades I picked up all have a super fine gold glitter to it and this may be the connection in all the shades? I loved all the shades in the collection and for now I only picked up 3. I want to go get a couple more shades but for now here are 3!
Have you seen the new Julie G textured polishes for the holidays??? The shades are vibrant and the texture is great, I love that sparkly texture instead of the matte texture like the some of the LA Girl Sand Blasts and the first collection from Sally Hansen’s Sugar Coat. Well I thought that these two shades looked pretty together so I pulled out my cosmetic sponge and made a gradient out of it! Lemme know what you think!
